Terms of Service

Last updated: April 9, 2026

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the UNIHODL browser extension, desktop app, or any related services ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

UNIHODL is a browser extension and companion app that auto-captures your browsing context (scroll positions, video timestamps, tab states) and provides AI-powered search, resume, and sharing functionality. The Service includes a free tier and paid subscription plans.

3. Your Data

You own all data captured by UNIHODL. We do not claim any ownership or license over your session data, browsing history, or AI-generated context tags. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is stored and processed.

4. Accounts & Billing

Free tier: No account required. All data stays local.

Pro & Team plans: Require an account with a valid email. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time — your plan remains active until the end of the billing period.

Refunds: We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. After that, no refunds for partial billing periods.

Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. Existing subscribers keep their current price for 12 months after notification.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or infringe on others' rights
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or API
  • Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malware

6. Shared Sessions

When you share a session, you are responsible for the content within it. Do not share sessions containing confidential, illegal, or harmful content. Shared session links expire after 30 days unless renewed. We may remove shared content that violates these Terms.

7. Team Plans

Team plan administrators are responsible for managing team members and access. Administrators can view team-shared sessions but cannot access individual members' private sessions. When a team member leaves, their private sessions remain private; shared workspace sessions remain in the workspace.

8. SDK & API

The UNIHODL SDK is provided under the MIT license. API access is rate-limited per your plan tier. We reserve the right to suspend API access for abuse.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that captures will be 100% accurate for all websites — some sites may block or limit our ability to capture state. We are not responsible for data loss due to browser crashes, extension conflicts, or device failures.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNIHODL's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and canceling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your local data remains on your device; server-side data is deleted within 30 days.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under JAMS rules, except for injunctive relief which may be sought in any court of competent jurisdiction.
